Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works on TV and in films is well known for movies such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16, she had already secured a number of TV roles which included the leading role in the movie Downfall Youth With No Youth Control. Her acclaimed and critically acclaimed performance in the film for television that she made Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated historic war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the diva. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects over the years. These include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French history mini-series Napoleon among others. The actress also served on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
